Background
Leichenschmaus — German for "funeral feast" — is the debut studio album by Zombie Nation, released in 1999 on International Deejay Gigolo Records, the Munich-based imprint of DJ Hell. It arrived the same year as the Kernkraft 400 12" single, which is included here as the opening track.
The album is a snapshot of the Munich underground rave scene at the turn of the millennium — raw, hardware-driven tracks built from drum machines, samplers, and analogue synthesis, with no concessions to commercial accessibility.
