Background
Zombielicious marks an evolution from the previous Black Toys LP. Florian Senfter describes it as "an evolving step from the previous Black Toys LP where I really nailed the gritty warm sound." The album captures Zombie Nation's peak analogue period — deep bass, layered synths and precision drum machines.
Production Notes
The pre-mastering process for Zombielicious involved a rare piece of outboard gear: a Munich 1960 EQ prototype, borrowed from Andy at Vertigosound. The unit is a one-of-a-kind equaliser designed to add subtle air and high-frequency sparkle to a mix — without obvious settings, operating purely by feel. The result is a clarity and open-top-end characteristic of the album's sound.
Artwork
The iconic dripping lips logo was created by Beagle at Designliga Munich. On the CD, a white circle is screen-printed directly onto the clear jewel case — the logo then interacts with the CD print underneath to create a layered, three-dimensional effect. The vinyl edition features a cutout label that produces a similar visual relationship between the inner label and outer sleeve.
